About the university
The Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) is a technical institution of higher learning, founded in 2000 by the Dominican State. Only company specializing in technology education in the Dominican Republic. She has won several awards for prestige and quality of its services, including the National Quality Award granted by the Ministry of Public Administration of the country, becoming the first academic institution to receive the award. Areas of specialization lTLA are: Software Development, Information Networks, Multimedia, Mechatronics, Manufacturing and Automated Security. It also has the School of Languages. ITLA was formally established as a non-profit institution by Decree No. 422-00, dated 15 August 2000 issued by the then President of the Republic Dr. Leonel Fernández, although the inauguration took place August 13 that year, considering that the anniversary date of the institution.
