About the university
The UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE (UTE) was born as an institution of Higher Education where the adult of the Third Age finds space and time to demonstrate that any age is conducive to learning, to grow, to identify with themselves and discover their potentialities, Their values and their abilities for being able, conscious, reflective, mature and pregnant adults of experiences that know how to create their motivations, who knows the course of their life and knows where to orient themselves to reach their goals, achieve their goals and Define their interests. The UTE is created in the Dominican Republic as a University Program for adults on January 30, 1989, when it begins its academic and administrative work; Work that, despite being a university project, provides the perfect image of quality and efficiency, characteristics that nourish it so that its growth occurs throughout and respond to the demands of the changing world that we become.
