About the university
With its foundation in 1764, the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) is one of the oldest state colleges in Germany. Approximately 616 students are currently studying in the four courses of painting / graphics, book art / graphic design, photography and media art. In addition, a Master's degree in Cultures of the Curator was established. This further education offering is unique in this form in Germany and combines application-oriented research practice with scientific reflection. In 2014, she celebrated her 250th anniversary together with the newly founded Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.
