About the university
The Narh-Bita College is a private tertiary health institution in Tema in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Established in the year 2004, the college can be traced to the Narh-Bita-Hospital which was opened in 1979. As the hospital developed to take on greater responsibilities. The problem of shortage of health-workers, including nurses, moved the proprietors of the hospital to establish a School of Nursing to feed Narh-Bita and other health institutions. The school adopted other courses to become a College in 2008. The academic programmes of the College is directed and supervised by the Ghanaian National Accreditation Board, Nurses' and Midwives' Council of Ghana and the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana. The College is also affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon, the Kumasi University of Science and Technology Ghana and the Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, Ghana. Under the umbrella of the College, the following programmes are featured: BSC NURSING, BSC PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTSHIP, BSC MEDICAL LAB TECH., DIPLOMA REGISTERED GENERAL NURSING, HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PHARMACY TECHNOLOGY, POST RNAC/RNAP MIDWIFERY (DIPLOMA), CERTIFICATE RGN, CERTIFICATE MED. LAB. TECH., IT COURSES AND THE PRE-UNIVERSITY PROGRAM.
