About the university
St Joseph College of Communication (SJCC) is the first university affiliated Media College in South India and was founded in August 2004. It is a Christian minority self-financing education institution affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. A natural fallout of the ensuing debate as to whether or not animation and multimedia is an art or science, has been the tendency of a few institutions to offer animation and multimedia courses as BSc Animation, BSc Multimedia, BSc Visual Communication, etc. SJCC is the first of its kind in South India offering career oriented courses in BA Multimedia, BA Animation & Graphic Design, BA Visual Arts, BA Visual Communication, BA Audiography, BA Animation and Visual Effects, MA Multimedia, Ma Animation, MA Graphic Design, MA Cinema & Television and MA Print and Electronic Journalism.
