Kalras College of Education was set up in the year 2000 and is being run by KALRAS EDUCATIONAL TRUST, which is in the field of education for 47 years. The New National Educational policy demanded Secondary School Teachers of special aptitude towards the profession enabling them to prepare the students to seek knowledge and creativity turning them into true citizens mastering the art of living together peacefully with fraternity, nationality and humanity. With this aim in view, KALRAS EDUCATIONAL TRUST, dreamt of comprehensive College of Education to prepare Secondary School Teachers, having broad vision and nationalistic attitude fully aware of global contemporary development in the field of education and knowledge. The college is recognized and affiliated to the University of Jammu, which is a NACC accredited A grade university, to conduct a co-educational full time B. Ed course with effect from the session 2000.
