Women's College Parlakhemundi

The Womens' College , Paralakhemundi was established in the year 1983 and was initially affiliated to Berhampur University for I..A. course. Later it was affiliated to the Council of Higher secondary Education, Orissa, Bhubaneswar for the +2 Arts Course. The College came under G.I.A. fold since 1988. The College has received Permanent recognition from Government in the year 2003-2004.The College was included u/s @ 2(f) and 12(B) Act of the U.G.C. from 2006-2007. The T.D.C. Arts Course was introduced in this College in the year 1997-98 and has received Permanent Recognition from Government and Permanent Affiliation from Berhampur University in the year 2003-2004. The Institution provides teaching facility for +2 Arts and +3 Arts (Pass & Honours) courses The college stands for academic excellence, development of skill and character formation so as to produce intellectually trained, normally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired women. The aim of the college is to impart all-round education, to develop the potentialities of young women and help all those engaged in pursuit of truth and knowledge, keeping in view the Intellectual, Physical and Spiritual values. To inculcate the sense of Discipline, Social responsibility and Community service in the youth and also bring home to them the dignity of labor. It's aim is to provide the society with the right kind of leadership, women trained in various spheres who are competent to tackle the problems in life and make them worthy citizens of our community and country.
