About the university
The G.C. Foster College of Physical Education & Sport, which operates a full-time residential institution, is established on approximately forty-one (41) acres of land, at Angels, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica.It was the first of its kind to be established in the English Speaking Caribbean in September 1980. The whole of the college staff is working assiduously to meet the needs of us. There will be many opportunities for involvement, growth and learning across the academic year. We are mindful of our responsibility to provide a truly world class education for our students; A responsibility we can not carry out without help. We want our students to understand they have rights and obligations; Independent students, who show good responsibility, and who we are. Our curricula, which speak to academic excellence, are supported by a rich co-curricula program and so. Finally, as we embark on the task of transforming the G.C. Foster College into one of the premier sporting institutions in the world, we are pushing for our most valuable asset, our human resources, to be fully equipped to embrace our new vision: G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport attaining University status.
