Tun Abdul Razak University

Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) was established on 18 December 1997 as one of the first private universities in Malaysia. The university was named after Malaysia's second Prime Minister, the late YAB Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato' Hussein, and officially launched on 21 December 1998 by Tun Abdul Razak's eldest son, YAB Dato' Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, current Prime Minister of Malaysia and then Minister of Education. On 1 March 2007, Tun Abdul Razak Education Foundation (Yayasan PINTAR) acquired Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Sdn. Bhd. (owner of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak) from KUB Malaysia Berhad. Since its inception, UNIRAZAK was among the first few private learning institutions in Malaysia to receive the SIRIM certification of ISO 9001:2000. Additionally, the University has been awarded the prestigious Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status, which is a testament to the University's commitment to integrating technology and innovation in its teaching and learning techniques. UNIRAZAK has rapidly established itself as a premier centre for education in its efforts to produce competitive and capable graduates. As of November 2015, UNIRAZAK has produced more than 20,000 alumni studying in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All our academic programmes, which were developed through close consultation with the industry partners, public and private sector professionals, have been approved by the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) besides meeting the high standards set by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).
