About the university
Politeknik Mersing Johor (PMJ) is among the top 8 new polytechnic built under the 9th Malaysia Plan. PMJ commenced operations on May 12, 2008. However, his administration began operations on August 1, 2008 and is the 25th polytechnics established under the Ministry of Higher Education. PMJ establishment is in line with government policy to produce more quality semi-professional workers to meet the needs of public and private sector. Politeknik Mersing Johor have its first intake in January 2009 with a Diploma in Information Technology (Networking). A total of 14 students of Diploma in Information Technology (Networking) as the first group to pursue Utomo. For the July 2009 session, the second intake of students is about 30 for the same course. However, the session begins in January 2010, Diploma in Commerce (Secretarial Science) has been implemented. With its commitment as an institution pendidiklan Utomo, the intake will be increased every semester to meet national needs.
