Metro Polytechnic Johor Bahru (PMJB) began operations on April 1, 2011 and is the third metro Polytechnic was established by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur Metro Polytechnics (EMKL) and the Polytechnic Metro Kuantan (MKU). The existence of the metro Polytechnic expand its access to education and training to the SPM as well as those who are employed (working adults). Programs offered by PMJB aims to meet the demand in the services sector. This sector is currently experiencing rapid growth and is expected to continue to grow in the future will remain datang.Premis PMJB located in Iskandar Malaysia. Iskandar Malaysia development corridor which is a flagship economic projectkerajaan Malaysia. The services sector is a major milestone in the Iskandar Malaysia economic dominance. The establishment of the Polytechnic Metro is in line with the transformation agenda of the State of increasing competitiveness through the development of high-income economies, especially in terms of human capital generates a versatile and able to change the market dynamic work environment. The goal is SPM students and workers (working adults) who require up-skilling and re-skilling.
