Technological Institute of Victoria

The Technological Institute of Ciudad Victoria or Tec de Victoria is an institution of higher education of the National Technological System of Mexico ( TecNM ), its official name is Technological of Mexico Campus Ciudad Victoria . It was born in 1975 due to the demand of professional careers of science and technology , as well as the growth of the city requiring young qualified professionals. It is an Institution of Higher Education that came to complement in an important way the education in the center of the state of Tamaulipas. It was founded on October 15, 1975 by Engineer Miguel Zepeda Sánchez and former governor of Tamaulipas Enrique Cárdenas González . Occupying in its foundation buildings of another institution, at the moment, the headquarters of the rectory, the campus and the administrative offices of this educational institution are in Ciudad Victoria . Historically it is the first institution of the system that offers only the level of licenciatura, being stopped of imparting in this the upper secondary education, being taken from the foundation of the ITCV, the supreme decision that the technological ones offer only superior education and postgraduate. This institution began its administrative activities on October 1, 1975 and its classes on the 15th of that same month in the Center of Scientific and Technological Studies No. 104 (CECyT 104), now Center for Studies of Industrial Technological Baccalaureate and Services No 24, starts with two careers, Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering . It has several services such as own parking, cafeteria, indoor courts, science labs and computers , a school radio service and publish a magazine of scientific dissemination called Tecno-Intellect in digital format. It has an enrollment of more than 3,113 students along with a model of distance education initiated in 2010.
