About the university
Katowice School of Entrepreneurship. Charles Godula (GWSP) in Chorzów was established in 1999. Decision of March 5, 1999 the Minister of National Education gave GWSP on the basis of Chorzów's authorization to conduct higher education. The Register of Higher Educational Establishments of the Ministry of Public Education of GWSP was registered under the number 25. The founder of GWSP is the Entrepreneurship Education Foundation. At the heart of the creation of GWSP is the culture of Upper Silesia, consisting of its entrepreneurial and industrial traditions. An important component of this culture is the tradition of self-government and social self-organization. At present, the genesis of GWSP is in the process of restructuring the region's economy and creating local authorities. GWSP was created to some extent as a response to the challenges faced by the turn of the century, enterprises and local communities of Upper Silesia were supplied. The development of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial government will lead to the creation of new enterprises and jobs. They require the formation of a qualitatively new generation of human capital. Upper Silesia requires the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and at the same time cooperate on local and regional development.
