About the university
State Higher Vocational School in Głogów - Polish public vocational school in Głogów. The school was founded on June 22, 2004 on the basis of the decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport of the seat. It is the third university of its kind in Lower Silesia [1]. In 2013, in the ranking of 12,000 colleges, the school was 167th from the end. Despite the long tradition of education in Głogów [3] until the beginning of the 21st century Głogów did not have a university. The turning point was the initiative of the authorities of the Głogów district, the municipality of Głogów, in cooperation with scientists from the University of Zielona Góra and the Academy of Economics in Wroclaw, the State Higher Vocational School on June 22, 2004. The first year at this college inaugurated 130 students on a daily basis and 11 on paid extramural studies. At that time, the university offered bachelor's degrees in arts education, arts and finance and banking.
