About the university
East European Institute for the Economy in Bialystok submitted an application to the Ministry of Education for the establishment of the Higher School of Finance and Management in Bialystok, August 17, 1993 which was entered into the Register of Non-University under the heading 23. For the first year and extramural assumed approx. 800 students. The first rector was Prof.. dr. Józef Szabłowski .
