About the university
The admisison for 2024/2025 will open on April 1st 2024. The Medical University of Lodz is the largest public medical university in Poland. Its mission is focused on: - educating students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing as well as in other medicine-related disciplines - educating research staff (PhD programs) - conducting research and scientific activity - developing postgraduate programs offer. Medical teaching in English was initiated in 2003/2004. Presently about 800 foreign students from various countries attend 6-year MD (Medicine) and 5-year DMD (Dentistry) programs and over 900 have already graduated. The programs are taught entirely in English and are comprehensive enough to be accepted internationally. For 6MD and 5DMD admission procedure we require: a high school diploma with extended level of knowledge in 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics. The grades should be above the average. English competency certificate (IELTS, TOEFL) will be highly appreciated (it is not obligatory).
Visa d’étudiant
Once your payment for the fitsr semester reaches our bank, we will issue a Student Status for you. You will need it in order to apply for a visa. 1. Find the Polish embassy in your country. 2. Check visa requirements on the embassy’s website. 3. Check the dates available and make an appointment. 4. You will need a booking confirmation of your accommodation in Lodz. 5. It might take up to 3 weeks for the visa to be issued, so do not wait and make an appointment as soon as possible.
Hébergement
We provide limited numer of rooms for our students. Rooms can be booked only by those students who have received the Letter of Acceptance. The cost od accomodation in University's dormitories is 550 - 700 PLN per month.
