The Higher Institute of Languages and Administration (ISLA) was the first private higher education institution in Portugal. It was founded in 1962 by the hand of António Augusto Gonçalves Rodrigues , and played a major role in Culture and the formation of a group of citizens who have affirmed themselves in Portuguese and European society.
