Objectives This licentiate degree is organically integrated in the School of Communication, Arts and Information Technology (ECATI) at the Lusophone University and its main objective is to offer theoretical and practical training, in addition to specialized vocational education of a technological and artistic nature in the fields of animation, digital design , synthetic image for movies, games, digital animation production for video and multimedia communication. The description of the course simultaneously synthesizes its area of technical and artistic intervention - animation - but by including a reference to the digital as the current dominant form of the representation of image, it also clearly points to the fact that this course integrates the promotion of skills in creation and production of animated objects based on digital technology and does not refer to other uses of the term animation, especially in the context of cultural production. Provide the basic training and an interdisciplinary foundation concerning theoretical and applied knowledge in the areas of Communication, Arts and Design and Multimedia Computing and Communication. Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired The students will obtain competencies related to the use and manipulation of tools and techniques of animation and 2D and 3D visualization, as well as the creation and production of projects of a diverse nature that incorporate moving image (ie applications for mobile systems, multimedia products, television, cinema, architecture, etc). Career Creation and production projects in animation, film, television, movie and entertainment; Management and design for animation film, television, movie, entertainment (games), institutional and advertising projects; 2D and 3D Modelling; 2D and 3D Animation; Post production and visual composition in filmic, television and video and entertainment projects; Promotion and distribution of entertainment products, Conceptual development, production of storyboards and writing of projects; Graphic design, typesetting and production of info-graphics; Consultancy in animation projects , virtual scenography and entertainment that integrate components of animation. Entrance Conditions Candidates who meet the requirements defined in the International Student Statute can apply.
