About the university
Academy operates under the auspices of the University of Ljubljana. It boasts a long tradition. It was founded on 27 October 1945 as the Academy of Fine Arts, where the conducted studies in painting and sculpture. Today, the studies on the Academy of Fine Arts of five sections, covering the fields of fine art, conservation - restoration and design. The studies are conducted in small groups, in which the individual approach through consultations, corrections, discussions and seminars develop student creativity and innovation and to emphasize the importance and role of their professions in a broader social context, in order to build on individual responsibility.
