The context of the programme's training is international and fosters the collaboration between Europe and Latin America, contributing to the building of the Ibero American Higher Education Area. The programme also encourages training in research management, with special emphasis on applied research projects and cooperation for development. Description: The international Doctoral Programme in «Agriculture and the Environment» provides students with advanced methodological tools for both basic and applied research. As a result of an agreement between the participating universities, these studies provide the official degree of Joint Doctor issued by the USC and the USAC, and therefore it is fully valid in the EU and in Central America. The degree has the highest academic relevance within our educational system. This is an inter-university program which relies on specialists from different disciplines with broad and recognized research backgrounds. The participation of directors from different countries provides comprehensive training.
