About the university
In 2003, the training of teachers in Kreuzlingen was transferred from the traditional, seminaristic training into a modular structure at university level and took over the training for teachers of the preschool (kindergarten) and primary school. Since autumn 2007, the study program for secondary school II has been offered in cooperation with the University of Konstanz. Since 2009, the course of studies for secondary school I has been offered. After the first few years in provisional tenancy agreements, PHTG was able to purchase two new buildings by the architect Beat Consoni in autumn 2008. Together with the pedagogical school of maturity (PMS) in the east, which prepares for social and artistic professions, and the (new) linguistic and natural sciences education center Kreuzlingen (KSK) in the west, the PHTG now forms the Kreuzlingen Campus Kreuzlingen. The three institutions are networked and share different infrastructure options. There are special agreements for a transfer from PMS to PHTG.
