About the university
The Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Gafsa ( Arabic : المعهد العالي للدراسات التكنولوجية بقفصة ) (ISET-Gafsa) is an institution of higher education Tunisian forming technicians and delivering the diploma license applied in several areas. Gafsa is a mining region , mainly phosphate mines in the Mdhila and Redeyef mining basins . In 1981 , the State established the Higher Institute of Technology and Mining (ISTIM), with two courses in civil engineering and mining engineering : a short course with two years of training ( 1981 to 1993) ) And an average course of four years of training ( 1989 to 1995 ). In 1995 , the institute welcomes other technology and management specialties and integrates the network of Isets (law n o 92-50 of 18 May 1992 )
