About the university
Founded in 1990 to unite and coordinate the efforts of various institutions dealing with the history of the Tunisian national movement, the Higher Institute of History of the National Movement (ISHMN) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research And Technology, Affiliated to the University of Manouba is intended to promote teaching and research in the field of contemporary history of Tunisia marked by colonization. The ISHMN has a microfilmed archives, a set of audiovisual testimonials, A collection of photographs and a library open to consultation with researchers, journalists, students or activists who wish to carry out in-depth investigations into the history of colonization and decolonization of Tunisia.
