About the university
In NMetAU trained about 15,000 students, 175 graduate students and 10 doctoral students, employs about 1,000 teachers and researchers. Among the faculty members share doctors, professors is 14 percent. Among them full member and member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 25 full members and corresponding members of branch academies of Ukraine, 16 with honors distinguished scientists and technology, distinguished educators, State Prize. The Academy in different directions are 13 scientific schools. It is widely known in Ukraine and abroad Dnipropetrovsk scientific school of theoretical and applied metallurgy, Ukrainian and fundamental school electrometallurgy termistiv as well as schools in the following areas as metallurgy iron and steel, thermal engineering, thermal power, metallurgical equipment, metal forming, and others.
