The College of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology (CFAT) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is the only college in Egypt that awards a Bachelor degree in fish resources sciences accredited and recognized by both the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities and the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety (EAMS) which qualifies the college graduate to apply for a marine seaman book (passport) under the title "Officer in charge of a navigational watch on fishing vessels."
