Location
You will learn through practical application and creatively delivered lectures, workshops, seminars, and group work sessions. This course will give you an introduction to the tourism sector that could stand you in good stead when you go on to a career in the industry. We’ll look at the issues affecting tour operators, travel agencies, online retailers, accommodation providers, visitor attractions, and tourist boards. During the course, you’ll have the chance to learn the fundamentals of successful business through the lens of tourism. You’ll develop your skills through a combination of research, practical experience and shared academic and industry knowledge. We’ll start by looking at business-related skills before applying them to all areas of the travel and tourism sector. In your final year you’ll take a more strategic approach and deal with issues related to sustainability.
