The Canisius BS in finance prepares you for work in personal, corporate or public finance. Curriculum emphasizes four key areas including business finance, investment and portfolio management, financial markets, and institutions and risk analysis. Finance majors (and students majoring in business or liberal arts) can enroll in the five-year MBA program to earn both an undergraduate degree and MBA in as little as five years. You can further enhance your career skills and qualifications by taking a concentration of courses designed to help you prepare for exams for licenses such as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), insurance broker, or stock broker. Learn to use the latest tools and technologies employed by finance professionals including spreadsheets, databases, statistical software and other business technologies.
