The successful design of an interior space has the potential to improve the human experience in tangible and intangible ways. At Watkins, we believe that interior design professionals must embrace both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with making interior environments that are aesthetically pleasing, healthy, safe, and sustainable. In our Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design program, you will: master the fundamentals of space planning and the human factors that influence design explore the history of architecture, interior design, and design theory build your knowledge of construction materials and methods experiment with a wide range of textiles, furnishings, and lighting solutions create studio projects for residential and commercial settings develop a professional-level body of work through a progressive series of portfolio reviews and a senior thesis.
