About the university
The Bukhara State Medical Institute was founded in 1990 by the Medical Faculty. In 1992, the dental department was established. Now there are 7,084 medical doctors and 167 dentists. The Faculty of Medicine has its graduates for 4 years, and the Dental Faculty - 2 years. The Institute uses more than 50 computers. There are 3 libraries with 50,000 books on medicine, social and human sciences, scientific and fiction literature in Uzbek, Russian and English. There is a sports and recreational complex with all the necessary equipment and conditions for physical education.
