About the university
The Tashkent Ballet School was founded in 1933 by Tamara Khanum, U.A. Kamilov, E.K. Obukhova and VN The Guba. In 1947, the Tashkent Choreography School was established in the building of the Uzbek Conservatory. The modern Tashkent State Higher School of Folk Dance and Choreography was transformed in 1997. In the New Century, together with the Alisher Navoi Bolshoi Theater, the Higher School strives for a wonderful transformation into the Uzbek Academy of Dance, with a gift from the fathers of the city, preserved and reconstructed by a complex of buildings of the 21st century. The main goal of the TGVSNTiH activities is the preparation of professional artists of Ballet Ensembles and Performers from among those who have the necessary natural data, physical training and good health, corresponding to physical loads, for preserving and multiplying the moral and cultural values of society.
