Latin American Private Open University

Founded in 1990, Universidad Privada Abierta Latinoamericana (Latin American Private Open University, Cochabamba) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large city of Cochabamba (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Oruro. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, Bolivia (Ministry of Education, Bolivia), Universidad Privada Abierta Latinoamericana (UPAL) is a small (enrollment range: 4,000-4,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Universidad Privada Abierta Latinoamericana (UPAL) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This HE institution does not have a selective admission policy. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UPAL also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sport facilities and/or activities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
