Students acquire engineering knowledge mainly from chemical and environmental analysis, wastewater treatment technology, technical microbiology, air protection technology, issues of utilization and disposal of waste and some additional disciplines, such as legislation and informatics in the field of environmental protection. Education includes a significant proportion of students' work in the laboratory, both in the framework of controlled laboratory exercises as well as independent work in projects and diploma theses. The specificity of the study programme compared to others is the emphasis on biological processes in the natural environment and within technologies, their understanding and use.
