The Master's Degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology aims to nurture in students the capabilities and aptitudes for professional activity in the realm of Health Psychology and Neuropsychology. The master intends to achieve a successful intertwining between the theoretical and experimental models and the clinical methods in this scientific field, and a robust education for practice, for assessment and psychological intervention in general hospitals, specialized departments, clinics, health canters, rehabilitation departments and so on, helping patients to adapt to life, to deal with personal crises, to adapt to illness and disabilities. Together with a 1st cycle in Psychology the Master´s Degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology leads to the profession of Psychologist. After the completion of the master, one may apply for the provisional status of psychologist and complete a year of supervised practice regulated by the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses.
