Objectives This licentiate degree is organically integrated in the School of Communication, Arts and Information Technology (SCAIT) (¿Escola de Comunicação, Artes e Tecnologias da Informação¿ ¿ ¿ECATI¿) of the above mentioned University and its main objective is to provide specialized and vocational theoretical and practical training, of a technological and artistic nature in the field of photography. Thus the general pedagogic objective of the first cycle course in photography is to endorse a training project that combines a strict theoretical component with an interdisciplinary preparation that is eminently applied in its specialized areas. Throughout the course, the students will be constantly encouraged to experiment with technological and artistic aspects. The ultimate goal of this course is to train individuals that are technologically competent, as well as conceptually and artistically creative. Amongst the specialized teaching staff, we count with the collaboration of the following photographers Daniel BLAUFUKS, Paulo CATRICA, António Júlio DUARTE, Daniel MALHÃO, Luis PAVÃO.
