The number of research subjects in construction, geotechnical engineering, construction management, and infrastructure engineering, which are sub-branches of civil engineering, is increasing day by day and research subjects related to application areas are diversified. In this diversity, engineers with a doctor's degree who can conduct research, generate knowledge, and deliver innovative solutions for application are needed both in the construction industry and in the relevant departments of universities. This need is met by a few universities that offer Ph. D. degrees in civil engineering. To meet this need, the doctorate program in the Department of Civil Engineering at KTO Karatay University has been since the beginning of the 2014-2015 academic year. The main goal of this program is to train staff with academic degree degrees who can combat complex engineering problems under the discipline of civil engineering, who can work as qualified academicians in our universities, and have competitive power in the international scientific world.
