This program is designed to prepare for a career in interpreting for deaf and hearing people. Students will be trained in the various aspects of interpreting and upon completion of the program should be prepared to work in the field. As an interpreter one will function as a facilitator between the deaf person and the hearing person. Students who would like to earn an associate degree and transfer to a university bachelor program can achieve this goal with early educational planning. However, earning an associate degree is not required to transfer. This program is also offered as a short-term certificate program.
