2 + 2 University Transfer Pathway. The Environmental Science program is an interdisciplinary course of study that incorporates an overview of basic scientific principles applied to contemporary environmental issues. The program explores the interrelationship between humans and the natural environment by examining natural processes and human resource consumption. Through this program, students identify and analyze current environmental problems that society faces at a local and global level. The program courses prepare students to research, analyze, and propose solutions to the complex environmental challenges human society and the natural environmental experience. This degree is intended for students transferring to a California State University campus. By completing the Pierce Environmental Science ADT can apply for transfer to a CSU at junior level. It is not a requirement for transfer but may give students an admission advantage at some CSU campuses.
