About the university
1991: Azerbaijan University (AU) was established in 1991 by professor, doctor of philosophy, correspondent member of ANAS Selahaddin Khalilov as one of the first private universities in Azerbaijan. 1993: Azerbaijan University was officially registered by the decision of Higher State Expert Committee on March 3, 1993, and by the Board of Ministry of Education on April 8, 1993 and was certified with the registration on State Register #1. AU 1994: AU became a memberof the Association of European Schools on Planning (AESOP).
