About the university
Western Caspian University is one of the first private universities in Azerbaijan Republic which locates in the capital city Baku. Founded in 1991, it has become one of the leading universities in the country. The University is located in an old architectural building dating back to the end of XIX century near the presidential palace and the old city, which is in the heart of beautiful downtown of Baku. Western Caspian University was founded with the objective to create an educational institution, which would contribute to the economic, social and political development of Azerbaijan through training students to become graduated specialists who would satisfy the needs of the Republic during and after its economic transition. Many students attend the University from various countries around the world, which emphasizes the university’s international profile. Western Caspian University graduates are sought by employers everywhere for their knowledge and reputation as innovators, leaders, and team players. The 5 schools which include over 180 high caliber faculty members, provide undergraduate and graduate trainings in 36 specialties for over 1000 students on full-time, evening and correspondence courses.

International students friendly
For the first step in admission, students must provide the documents listed below. 1.Passport scan 2.Medical Report (Results for Hepatitis B, C, and HIV), apostilled and notarized in English 3. Education Documents (apostilled and notarized in English). After submitting documents the admission committee confirms the date of the interview. After the interview process, University evaluates students' information and confirms his/her admission in 3 workdays.
Student visa
Countries that have no access to an online (education)visa must pay a visa and application fee of $400 USD (tax included). You can find the list of countries with access to an online visa down below: https://evisa.gov.az/ Countries that have access to an online visa can apply for the student visa themself.
Accommodation
Currently, University doesn't provide students with accommodation, because of construction works in the dormitory. Monthly Living Expenses: Accommodation (shared) - 100-250 AZN (60-140 USD). Accommodation (not shared) - 250-500 AZN (140-285 USD) Groceries - 150 AZN (85 USD). Utilities - 50-60 AZN (30-35 USD). Other expenses (transportation, social activities etc.) - 100 AZN (60 USD). Living expenses vary from 400 to 800 AZN (230-460 USD) per month.
