The first doctorate in Bioengineering in the country is inter-institutional between the Autonomous University of the West with its Faculties of Engineering and Basic Sciences and the Universidad del Valle with its Faculties of Health, Engineering and Natural and Exact Sciences. The program aims to train doctors with transdisciplinary skills and high academic quality, promote development and innovation in the various areas of engineering frontier related to industrial, chemical, biological and biotechnological processes, so that the region and the country develop scientific and technological capabilities that positively impact people's quality of life and economic development.
