About the university
The Evangelische Hochschule Ludwigsburg is a state-recognized confessional university for social work, diakonia and religious education, based in Ludwigsburg. The carrier is the Evangelical Landeskirche in Württemberg. Rector has been Norbert Collmar since 1 October 2007. In Ludwigsburg at the Higher Specialist School for Welfare Care (1951, among other things developed from the Diakonieanstalt Karlshöhe), later Higher Specialist School for Social Work, under the auspices of the Landeskirche. In Reutlingen at the Evangelische Schule für Heimerziehung (1954), from 1963 as a Protestant High School for Social Pedagogy, under the sponsorship of an evangelical association.
