About the university
The Hamburg Fern-Hochschule is a private non-profit institution. It is state-recognized by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and was founded in 1997. As one of the largest private universities in the German-speaking world, the HFH offers courses with state-recognized and accredited Bachelor's and Master's degrees. This is supplemented by professional training at university level leading to certificate degrees. With its concept of supervised distance learning, the HFH enables students to study largely independently of their location and time, in addition to work or training and the family.
