About the university
The third state-run music college in Bavaria was founded in Nürnberg in 2008, from the Meistersinger Conservatory and the municipal double-high school Nuremberg-Augsburg. In the heart of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, around 400 students are taught in the basic study areas of artistic and educational pedagogy. In addition to all the orchestral instruments, singing, piano, organ, guitar, accordion, classical saxophone and elementary music pedagogy belong to the courses offered; There is also a lively jazz department, which is well-established in the clubs of the city, as well as a department for early music, which brings extraordinary events to Nuremberg in continental Europe.
