About the university
The college first opened in 1996, with an entering class of 720. The numbers have risen steadily since then, now averaging near 2,000 per year. Three- and four-year programs are offered through the divisions of Games and Animation, Webtoon, Industrial Design, Fashion & Styling, Performing Arts, IOT, Food and Human Care.

Chungkang opened in 1996 as Korea's first college to focus primarily on the cultural industries. Since then, it has turned out highly qualified individuals thanks to a unique educational infrastructure, incorporating practical curriculum, studio-based creative production, practical project courses, overseas internship programs, and interdisciplinary, convergence-based education.
Student visa
A student should apply for D-2 visa in Korean embassy in the country directly (certificate of admission and business registration will be sent individually). When applying & changing visa after being accepted to school, Embassy or Immigration office will ask for the ‘Graduation Certificate’ and ‘Verification of Deposit(VOD)’. Therefore, applicants should prepare additional ‘Graduation Certificate’ and Verification of Deposit(VOD) after being accepted to our school.
Accommodation
Three dormitory buildings accommodate 372 man, and 272 women. Each room houses 4 students and is furnished with beds, desks, bookshelves and closets. Laundry and simple cooking facilities are shared by students on each floor. Residents can participate in sports competitions, personal education programs, and autonomously organized events. Various small group activities for self-development and hobbies are also available.
Scholarships
About Scholarship... Foreign students will receive a 20% scholarship for tuition in the first semester of admission. If students have TOPIK Level 3, they will receive a 30% scholarship from the first semester to their graduation semester. Freshmen cannot get more than one scholarships.(receive a large scholarship) It is subject to change according to the College scholarship regulations.
