It is pastoralism to serve the people of God with love.   The Franciscan gentleman said to the priests, "Be a shepherd of sheep" (Siate pastor con l'odore delle pecore.), Saying, "The priesthood is a sheep-smelling life ("The Mass Calligraphy", February 23, 2013). 'Sheep-smelling shepherd', 'Sheep-smelling life' is a truly beautiful and touching expression. If the shepherd caring for the flock does not smell the sheep, he will never be a shepherd. If shepherds are with sheep, they will smell of sheep.   When the priest becomes fully united with the believers, the identity of the priest is revealed. A priest is a shepherd not only when he is happy, but when he is sad, when he is healthy, when he is sick, when he is rich, when he is in need, when he is in need. A priest is not one who lives a completely different life apart from the lives of believers.
