About the university

The Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance (formerly the Financial College - Banking / Financial-Economic Technique) in Chisinau is the oldest economic and financial education institution in the Republic of Moldova. His history began on November 29, 1945, when, through the Government Decision (People's Commissar of the Soviet Union), MSSR no. 1150 in Chişinău was founded the Finance Technique subordinated to the Ministry of Finance (Norwegian Commissariat for Finance). In 1948, by the Decision of the Council of Ministers of MSS no. 4145 of November 5, the institution was called the Finance and Credit Technology of the Ministry of Finance of the RMS. After four years of activity through the Decision of the Council of Ministers of MSS no. 272 of 10.03.49 the technique was transferred to the city. Tighina (Bender), later in 1958, by Decision no. 146 to be reorganized into the Ministry of Agriculture's Accounting Technique of the RSSM. In the period 1958-1968 in Chişinău, a branch of the Union of Finance and Economics, based in Moscovka, operated under the Frequency Education section. In 1966, by decision of the Council of Ministers of MSS no.107 of 03 March, it was decided to build and put into operation the complex of the Finance and Economy Technique in Chisinau. Studies began on September 1, 1968, and the reference specialties were: Budget Statement, State Budget, State Incomes, State Insurances, State Bank Records, Savings Bank Accounts, Bookkeeping and Computing Mechanics and Machine Programming Electronic computing.
