About the university
Norway's music college at Majorstuen in Oslo is a science college and Norway's oldest music education institution in operation. The school offers a bachelor degree in classical (executive and educational), church music, jazz, folk music (executive and educational), composition and the free master's program. From autumn 2011, bachelor will also be offered a board of directors. The school offers a master's degree in all of these directions, as well as music therapy, and a diploma of classical performance and composition. In addition, the school offers a number of further education and year courses. The institution also conducts research and development work in the field of music subjects. Some of Norway's foremost musicians are educated at this school.
