About the university
The college is located in Rogaland Farm Park at Særheim in Klepp Municipality, and was started in 2001. The college is organized as a cooperative team and is owned by public governing bodies in the region as well as by companies and organizations in agriculture, locally and regionally. HLB's vision is to be a key knowledge provider for living and viable rural communities. From 2010, the school offered the country's only Bachelor's degree in rural development, which in 2015 changes its name to Bachelor in Innovation and Social Development. In addition, the school offers annual studies in Change Studies, Economics and Leadership, Horses in Industry, Landscape and Development and Innovation.
