About the university
Rudolf Steinerhøjskolen was established in Oslo in 1981 to educate teachers for the growing number of stone schools in Norway. The college is approved by the Ministry of Education as a qualifying candidate for work in Norwegian coal schools and receives state aid under the 1986 Private Schools Act. Since 1997, the college has been 100% government-financed (up from 50% in 1983). College is organized as a charitable foundation with the board as the upper body.
