About the university
Motivated by the fact that traditional vocational training and technical education did not provide the qualifications required by modern productive activity, the employers of the National Society of Industries decided in 1960 to promote the creation of an institution specifically designed to develop human skills for The competent performance of the professional occupations of the manufacturing industrial activity and of the work of installation, repair and maintenance; For which financing was imposed a self-assessment or monthly financial contribution. In view of this entrepreneurs' initiative, SENATI was created on December 19, 1961 through Law No. 13771.
